Please read these terms carefully before using the Luxembourg FAIA Validator.

This tool is currently in beta. Features may change, and while we strive for accuracy, the validation results should be independently verified before submission to tax authorities.
Not an Official Government Tool
This validator is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to the Luxembourg Administration de l'Enregistrement, des Domaines et de la TVA (AED) or any other government authority. It is an independent tool that validates files against publicly available FAIA v2.01 XSD schemas.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Luxembourg FAIA Validator ("the Tool"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Tool.
2. Description of Service
The Tool provides client-side validation of FAIA (Fichier d'Audit Informatisé AED) XML files against the publicly available FAIA v2.01 XSD schemas and common business rules. All validation occurs locally in your web browser; no files are uploaded to any server.
The Tool is currently provided free of charge during our beta period and is intended to assist users in identifying potential issues with their FAIA files before submission to tax authorities. Pricing may be introduced in the future.
3. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE TOOL IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that:
- The Tool will meet your specific requirements
- The Tool will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
- The validation results will be accurate, complete, or reliable
- Any errors in the Tool will be corrected
4. Validation Results Not Legally Binding
Validation results provided by this Tool are for informational and guidance purposes only and are NOT legally binding.
A successful validation ("pass") does not guarantee:
- Acceptance by the Luxembourg AED or any other tax authority
- Compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations
- Accuracy of the underlying financial data in your file
- That your file is free from all errors or issues
Similarly, validation errors or warnings do not necessarily mean your file will be rejected by tax authorities. The Tool may flag issues that authorities might accept, or may not detect issues that authorities would reject.
You are solely responsible for ensuring your FAIA files comply with all applicable Luxembourg tax regulations and requirements.
5. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL THE TOOL'S CREATORS, OPERATORS, OR CONTRIBUTORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Loss of profits, revenue, or business opportunities
- Loss of data or goodwill
- Penalties, fines, or interest imposed by tax authorities
- Costs of procurement of substitute services
- Any other intangible losses
This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory under which such liability is sought, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability, or otherwise, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
6. User Responsibilities
By using the Tool, you agree that:
- You will independently verify all validation results before submitting files to tax authorities
- You will consult with qualified tax professionals regarding your specific compliance obligations
- You assume all risk and liability for any reliance on the Tool's validation results
- You will not hold the Tool's creators liable for any decisions made based on validation results
- You are responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of your financial data
7. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Tool's creators, operators, and contributors from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your use of the Tool or your violation of these Terms.
8. Intellectual Property
The Tool and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by the Tool's creators and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
The FAIA v2.01 XSD schemas used by this Tool are publicly available documents published by the Luxembourg tax authority and are used in accordance with their public availability.
9. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to the Tool. Your continued use of the Tool after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
10. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.
